Just over 9 weeks the little boy finally had his two month visit at the doctors. He is almost 24″ long and weighs 13lbs. He was an average height, over average weight for his age, and as the doctor said…what a big head you have! I could have easily told you he had a big head, especially after the delivery. Everything was going great at the doctors; he’s healthy, happy, and so talkative now. He was cooing and smiling and talking up a storm, but then the needles came out. He got a total of 5 shots and oh boy did he scream! His little face was so sad as he got all 5 of his shots. I have to say that I hate seeing him cry. I was thinking about what one of my friends told me one time. She used to tell me that her sister never let her baby cry. That she kept her so tight on a schedule that she never cried. That she was on such a strict schedule that it was such an inconvenience to her sister. I never understood what it would be like with a baby. And yes, it is definitely a huge change. But I can completely understand why she kept her baby on such a tight schedule. It is absolutely horrible to hear your baby cry. It must be the mommy instinct, but I am exactly the way I never thought I would be. My little boy is on a tight schedule of feeding and sleeping and I never let him get to the point of crying when I’m watching him. It is such a heart wrenching feeling to have to listen to your baby cry. There is probably nothing worse than hearing him cry. He’s just my little honey bear!
