A Quick Update

I figured since Brendon is FINALLY taking a nap that I can write a quick update with everythingg. Well…Brendon is such a little stinker! He rarely takes naps anymore and wants to be entertained 24/7! So if I ever get a second to myself, I consider myself so lucky! He is way too smart to be just 4 and a half months old. He is getting a major mommy complex. He doesn’t like to take naps because if he takes a nap then he can’t keep his eye on me. If I even try to walk away from him he watches me and starts screaming. I swear, he is attached to me all the time so that he stays happy. I have to clean with him hooked to me, cook with him, whatever I have to do, he has to be right there with me in order to stay happy. Even when I hand him off to Andrew I can’t go too far or it only takes seconds before he starts crying. I know I need to be better and just let him cry for a moment or two to show him that he doesn’t have to be attached to me all the time, but I can’t help it, I can’t stand to hear him cry. My mom said he’s already getting spoiled, and oh yes, he is. He’s my little boy, of course I’m spoiling him rotten. The pediatrician told me to start sleep training him in his crib, but whenever I try to put him in his crib, even if he’s dead asleep, he wakes up, looks right at me, and if I try to leave him in his crib in his room he only lasts about 5 minutes before he starts screaming his head off. One day I tried over and over to get him in the crib and by the fourth time of complete screaming I gave up and decided to let him take his nap downstairs where I was. Well, when I tried to put him down for his nap, he would not go to sleep! He fussed and cried for the rest of the day and wouldn’t go down for his nap, he’d start to fall alseep and then would freak out that I was going to try to put him back in the crib. So, Brendon is definitely a little stinker. Now at 4 and a half months he is almost 17 lbs, 26 and a half inches, and lets just say his head is still really big. He was above average in his weight and length, but his head was in the 92nd percentile. I find it amusing how big his head is, it makes him look so much older then he is. Things are going great here in Colorado. It’s sunny, beautiful, green, and I’m still just enjoying my little boy.
