After April being a very busy month, I finally found time to write a post. The first part of April we took a trip up to Utah to see Adelina’s baby blessing. It was great to finally see my little niece. Her and Brendon were so funny when they would look at each other or suck each other’s fingers. It was a lot of fun being able to have all of my family all together. Traveling in a car with Brendon for 9 hours wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. He did really well even though there was snow in the mountains on the way home and we had to stay the night in a hotel.
Two weeks later, we finally got the opportunity to have Brendon’s baby blessing. All dressed up in his white outfit and his cute little bowtie, I wondered if he would cry when he received his blessing. Luckily he didn’t cry, not even a fuss. As his grandpap (my dad) said, he stayed awake, and stared straight up looking at God. He was the cutest little thing and it was a neat experience to have a baby blessing for our first little boy. You can find pictures from his baby blessing HERE.
After family all went home, a few weeks passed, and Brendon and I had to pack for our big trip to California. I wasn’t too sure how Brendon was going to react to a plane flight, but considering how young he is, he did great. During the flight he didn’t cry one bit, not even a fuss. He’s becoming quite the little traveler. When we got to California, we were greeted with very hot weather ranging in the 90’s. It was beautiful, sunny, and hot, and I got to take Brendon for his first swim. It was absolutely hilarious watching Brendon swim in the jacuzzi with his cousin Adelina. He was relaxed, enjoyed it, and couldn’t stop staring at the bubbles. Our trip to California was incredibly fun because I got to see some of my best friends that I grew up with. I think everyboy was shocked at how much I love being a mommy. After our 9 day trip to California, we flew back home and we are now back in Colorado. You can see pictures of my trip to CA, HERE.
Other than resting from our trip, all I’ve been up to is scheduling for my gall bladder for the beginning of June. I’m not looking forward to it, but I know that I have to have it done. Things are going well in Colorado, and it has finally stopped snowing, it’s warming up and it’s beautiful. I enjoy taking walks with Brendon. Brendon is getting bigger and bigger, and it’s funny to watch how his personality grows. My favorite thing about Brendon right now is probably his laugh. When he gives me his laugh, I just can’t help but smile and laugh with him. He’s turning out to be a great little boy, and I’m just enjoying every minute with him.
